This piece was inspired by a weekend visit to Vancouver Island, spending hours at Qualicum Beach, just soaking in the awesome beauty of the ocean, ebbing and flowing against the shore, and the surrounding landscape. It is a medium-sized and elegant coastal painting featuring lots of varied textural elements and a high gloss varnish finish with a refined palette of mostly beige, tan, brown, rust, blue teal, cream, and white tones. It's abstract, heavily textured and painterly, but somewhat representational of a seascape/ landscape. It's the perfect gift for a beach or ocean lover, or to decorate your cottage/summer home.
The 4 layers of high gloss varnish offers UV protection, and the painting has a parchment beige painted finish on the sides.
Signed, titled and dated on the back.
